Vitamin B1 250mg
Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is water soluble and must be replenished daily, just like the other B vitamin complex vitamins. Vitamin B-1 is also called the moral vitamin, due to its effect on the nervous system and mental behavior.
Vitamin B
Vitamin B — of which there are at least nine types — affects health in many ways. Some of the B vitamins, such as B1, B2 and B3, are of central importance, for example, in the process in which food is converted into energy in the body. Continuous supplementation of vitamin B-1 can cause vitamin C deficiency, so it is advisable to use it proportionately together.
Effects of vitamin B1:
Thiamine is involved in normal energy-producing metabolic processes.
Thiamine contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
It contributes to the maintenance of normal psychological function.
Vitamin B1 also contributes to the proper functioning of the heart.
A little history:
Polish biochemist Kazimierz Funk was the first developer of the vitamin concept. In 1904, he obtained his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Bern. After graduating, he first worked at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, then conducted laboratory experiments at the Lister Institute in London (1910). He devoted his research to the isolation of a previously unknown substance found in brown rice. In 1912, he succeeded in producing this substance from rice bran, and since the substance contained an amino group, he named it vita amine (vitamin), combining the words vita (life) and amine (nitrogen-containing compound). (The letter "e" at the end of the word was later dropped when researchers discovered that vitamins could not necessarily only be nitrogen-containing aminos.) In the naming system developed years later, this vitamin became vitamin B-1 (Thiamine). B vitamins work better together. So if you want vitamin B-1, take the other B vitamins as well.
