    The most important active ingredient of milk thistle is a mixture of compounds with an antioxidant effect extracted from its mature seeds, collectively known as silymarin. Silymarin consists of several flavonoids (e.g. silibinin, silydianin, silicristine), which play a key role in the removal of toxins and promote liver regeneration. Milk thistle oil is cold-pressed without any additives. Milk thistle seed oil does not contain preservatives, dyes or other seed oils or flavor enhancers.
