The VEO Metro B30L is a lightweight 30L backpack that can be used as carry-on under IATA guidelines and includes a lower camera compartment, a removable upper daypack section, a laptop compartment for up to a 16-inch laptop, and expandable side pockets for a travel-style stand.

The camera compartment is 300mm wide, 320mm high and 135-150mm deep, depending on the size of the laptop or documents packed in it. This allows you to carry up to a full frame camera with 5 lenses (up to 70-200mm f2.8), separated by thin EVA dividers designed to maximize available space while protecting your gear. These dividers can be adjusted to your desired layout or completely removed to transform it into an everyday backpack. The camera compartment can be accessed from the back for maximum security, and the camera can be quickly accessed from the top, so you can be ready to shoot in seconds.

The top daypack compartment allows you to store everyday items or additional camera accessories so you can get the most out of your day. It is 300 mm wide, 160 mm high, and has a maximum depth of 135-150 mm, but it tapers upwards due to the shape of the bag. On the back of the compartment there is a compartment for a power bank, so that you can hold the cable of the device in your hand through openings for power supply on the go. The compartment is accessed through the top of the bag, but is designed for quick access from the back. This daypack compartment can also be removed, so you can adjust the backpack to access your camera from above.

The laptop compartment is built into the back panel and measures 270 x 440mm to fit up to a 16 inch laptop and is well padded to keep both the laptop and camera gear safe. You can also access the laptop from the side. There are additional storage compartments on the back for up to a 13-inch laptop and other accessories such as cables.

The backpack has several storage pockets. There are expandable side pockets for a water bottle or tripod. The inside of the top lid has closed pockets for SD cards and accessories, while the closed pockets on the outside and front of the backpack can be used to store other items. The right shoulder strap has an expandable pocket for a smartphone, and the left shoulder strap has a camera connection strap (camera clip not included). The bag also includes straps that can be attached to the front to carry additional items such as a jacket.

To protect your valuable gear while exploring, this bag has the usual durable, well-padded frame. On the back of the bag, under the rolling (trolley) fastening strap, there is also a hidden back pocket for passport, cash and other important documents, as well as a separate hidden Smart Tracker pocket for AirTag or Tile trackers, so you can easily find your bag if it gets lost.

For years of use, this backpack is made from lightweight yet durable 300D polyester for a textured look and feel. The material is designed for heavy use, has excellent water resistance and UV protection, so it retains its color and structural integrity over the years. This performance is enhanced by a durable water repellent (DWR) coating on both sides of the fabric and highly waterproof SBS zips to ensure your gear stays protected in the city and beyond, while the rain cover provides protection for even the wettest of days.

For maximum comfort, the backpack is light, weighing only 2100 g. The backpack is held in place by wide, padded shoulder straps, an adjustable chest strap to prevent the straps from slipping, and tension straps (also known as lifters) on top of the shoulder straps to minimize movement. It also includes a padded waist strap that retracts into the bag when not needed so it doesn't flap around and distract from your ride. It also features a high-resilience foam padded back that follows the shape of the body and has a built-in airflow system to keep you cool on the go.
