18-port Gigabit switch with PoE pass-through

Ubiquiti Networks introduces the EdgeSwitch 18X, the most affordable managed switch with SFP ports.

For the EdgeSwitch 18X, model ES-18X, it offers eight Gigabit RJ45 ports with copper connection on port 1 with PoE input and 24 V PoE passthrough on port 8. It provides two SFP port fiber connections.

Ideal for WISP applications
Eight Gigabit RJ45 ports offer copper connection with PoE input on port 1 and PoE passthrough on port 8.

Optimized energy consumption
The EdgeSwitch 18X consumes 50% less energy than the previous generation EdgeSwitch XP, which enables passive cooling.

Layer 2 switching capacity
The EdgeSwitch 18X supports extensive Layer 2 switching functions and protocols.

Versatile mounting options
The EdgeSwitch 18X can be mounted on a wall or in a rack (rack mounting accessory, model ER-RMKIT, can be purchased separately).

Simple user interface
The new user interface is easy to learn and allows you to monitor and configure functions through the intuitive GUI.

Centralized management
EdgeSwitch 18X is supported by UNMS (Ubiquiti Network Management System), a comprehensive control and intuitive user interface. A single control plane manages registered EdgeMAX devices across multiple sites.

Switching power
Offering the highest price/performance value, EdgeSwitch offers the forwarding capacity to simultaneously process traffic on all ports at line speed without packet loss, as well as an extensive set of advanced Layer 2 switching functions and protocols.

For full non-blocking throughput, EdgeSwitch supports up to 10 Gbps.

Fiber connection
The EdgeSwitch includes two SFP ports that provide uplinks of up to 1 Gbps.

To simplify infrastructure, the EdgeSwitch 18X offers configurable 24V PoE passthrough on port 8.
