In January 1969, the Beatles started the new year with a grand plan to film themselves writing and rehearsing songs and perform them in front of an audience in a special show. The project, which later became known as Get Back, was a doubly comeback, since the band had not performed in concert for two and a half years at that time, and after their experimental period, they wanted to return to their original rock roots. For a month, cameras and microphones recorded their every word, but this volume, richly illustrated with photos, is closely related to the new Beatles film of the same name directed by Peter Jackson, based on the dialogues recorded at the time.
