TERRAMASTER D8 Hybrid NAS extender

Plenty of space: Up to 128TB
Using the D8 Hybrid as a storage device for Windows, Mac or Linux computers is an excellent choice. By combining 4 x 24 TB SATA HDD and 4 x 8 TB high-speed M.2 NVMe SSD, it offers a maximum capacity of up to 128 TB, providing ample storage space for extensive data needs.

Hot and cold storage combination
Customize your storage settings to meet your data needs and usage patterns. Take advantage of the high-capacity benefits of mechanical hard drives and the high-speed read/write performance of M.2 SSDs. Users can flexibly and manually choose where to store their data based on the type and frequency of use, thus optimizing storage efficiency and access speed. This approach ensures fast access to hot data stored on high-speed SSDs, while cold data can be stored economically and efficiently on HDDs.

Backup Buddy
Say goodbye to data worries with our free TerraMaster TPC Backupper software! Easily back up your Windows PC data with incremental and differential backup strategies for stress-free and secure data storage.
*For Mac users, you can seamlessly use the built-in Time Machine feature for backup.

Excellent compatibility
The D8 Hybrid features a USB Type-C interface that provides excellent compatibility with various protocols, including USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 3.2, USB4, Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4. A free 0.8 meter USB Type-C-C cable is included in the package. The interface is compatible with Windows 7 and above, macOS X 10.6 and above, and Linux Ubuntu 16/18/20.

Plenty of speed boosts
Get ready for lightning-fast data transfer! Thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 protocol, enjoy lightning-fast transfer bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps. Experience the maximum speed on three different media and hardware environments.

Multiple RAID types for data security
The D8 Hybrid has a hardware mode switch design that allows you to quickly set the RAID mode of HDD1 and HDD2 with a manual switch button. This creates an extremely large capacity storage space for computers with a RAID data protection mechanism.

File data sharing across platforms
D8 Hybrid supports various file system formats including NTFS, APFS, EXT4, FAT32 and exFAT. Support for the exFAT file system, which can handle large files, enables the D8 Hybrid exFAT file system formatted hard drives to be read and written by devices running different operating systems such as Windows, Mac and NAS systems, providing a convenient cross-platform solution for transferring large files.

The 2+6 innovation
Immerse yourself in the uniqueness of our 2+6 RAID mode! Expansion slots 1 and 2 offer a playground for RAID 0/1/JBOD configurations, thus guaranteeing the absolute safety of your data. Meanwhile, the 3rd and 4th expansion slots and M.2 NVMe SSDs stand strong as independent guardians, catering to your every storage whim.

Free up unlimited NAS space
The D8 Hybrid is an ideal choice for expanding NAS capacity at home or in a small office. Simply connect the D8 Hybrid to the USB port of your NAS device and you can easily expand your NAS storage space.
You can even use the D8 Hybrid as an external DAS storage device for your TerraMaster NAS. Both TOS 5 and the latest TOS 6 systems support the creation of new volumes using the D8 Hybrid's four HDDs and four M.2 SSDs, as well as the full range of TerraMaster NAS storage features, such as setting up storage pools, different RAID modes and enabling snapshots.

Push-Lock and secure
Enjoy tool-free HDD tray replacement with Push-Lock automatic locking that prevents accidental detachment. Plus, slide in M.2 SSDs with specially designed covers and screws for quick 5-second installation!

Keep cool, keep quiet!
Our intelligent cooling system combined with a super quiet design ensures that hard drives stay cool and your workspace stays calm. With automatic fan speed control depending on the temperature of the hard drives and a noise level of only 21 dB, you can enjoy optimal performance without extra noise!

Optimized energy management
D8 Hybrid supports the sleep mode of hard drives, synchronized with the sleep mode of the computer system. This feature effectively reduces hard disk usage, minimizes power consumption, and extends disk life.
