Product description
Zoltán Zsombok: Graphologist and writer. Actually, a lot could be said and written about him, but unfortunately I know so little. My grandfather died when I was 1 year old, and I only got to know him through his stories now, after all these years. In addition to his writing activities, he was one of the first radio actors: from 1926, he read his stories to children on Magyar Rádio as Uncle Bergengóc. After that, Bundás Barna a Hargitaban's storybook was published, and after a long ban, in 1978, the Singing Rooster was published - in Finland as well as in Hungary. Over the decades, Grandpa wrote nearly 3,000 independent, as yet unpublished stories, and developed an independent punch card system to store and search for them. Registering the collection is still a serious challenge for the family. "Fabulous" is a new selection from Grandpa's collection of handwritten tales, poems, and puzzles, with huge surprises and new drawings not seen before.
Foreword: Hello little dads!
Welcome to my grandfather's fairy tale world, where you can read the story of two good friends in the magical pages of this book. Nobody and Someone are special to me, because even though their names are special and you may never have heard of them, their quarrels and reconciliations have probably happened in all of your lives, whether with a friend or with younger or older siblings. The grandfather, Zoltán Zsombok, wrote these tales - including Senki and Valaki - almost 50 years ago, along with many beautiful poems and puzzles, of which I, his grandson Richard Szűcs, want to show you more and more. Unfortunately, I did not know my grandfather personally, but through his writings, I think we developed a very close and deep friendship over the past years. I hope that looking down on me from heaven, he also enjoys the drawings I made for his works and considers them worthy, even after all these years.
Thank you, grandpa, and thank you too, my little reader, the sequel is coming soon, with a new story and, of course, new drawings. ; )
His grandson is Richard Szűcs
