STARTECH 4-port USB 3.0 Ethernet extender C10043-USB-EXTENDER

The StarTech.com 4-Port USB 3.0 Ethernet Extender carries USB signals over a single network cable, reaching distances of up to 100 metres. It works with Cat6a, Cat7 and Cat8 cables terminated with RJ45 connectors. Data transfers at USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds of up to 5 Gbps, so performance remains high even over longer runs. This lets you keep USB peripherals far from the host computer and still use them as if they were connected locally.

The kit consists of a transmitter and a receiver unit. Power can be supplied over the Ethernet cable, so the remote end does not need its own power source. RS-232 pass-through also allows serial control, for example in industrial automation environments.

A metal housing protects the device. No driver installation is required, and the system is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. It is well suited to classrooms, kiosks, industrial workstations and control rooms.
