Technologies that ensure first-class sound quality
Sony's proprietary Σ (sigma) magnetic circuit delivers deep, powerful bass by maximizing the magnetic force driving the voice coil. Conventionally shaped circuits, on the other hand, allow a significant part of this magnetic force to escape.

Separate notched outer edge
Sony technology also includes the specially notched outer edge, which improves the vertical amplitude symmetry required for clear sound quality. It achieves this by having concentric notches on the rim, which help regulate pressure inside and outside the rim of the diaphragm.
