Sony has equipped the FX30 with a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system that produces smooth images even when handheld. There's Active mode, which combines optical systems with digital optimization to produce ultra-smooth shots. The FX30 can also record the movement of the gyroscope when the optical stabilizers are turned off, which allows us to take a stable recording even in the mail.

The lightweight and compact FX30 (in a design matching the FX3) offers users the opportunity to shoot without a cage. Users can also enjoy smooth shots handheld thanks to the 5-axis in-body image stabilization system.

The camera features dual CFexpress Type A/SD card slots, allowing users to choose from different media types for different situations. CFexpress Type A has an extremely fast speed that can be used for the most advanced recording functions of the FX30, while SD cards are often more common and still have high speed and high capacity.
