Sonoff 4CHR3 is the "R3" generation of Sonoff's four-circuit smart switching relay, which is capable of switching 230V AC phases belonging to the same phase on its four circuits.

Using the built-in WiFi chip, the product connects to the cloud via the local WiFi router and can be remotely controlled and timed via the Internet. It is not equipped with an RF receiver, so it CANNOT be remotely controlled with RF remote controls and wall switches.

It is widely used to control 4 independent 230V AC circuits (lighting, connectors, other consumers). It is not suitable for voltage-free switching, but an interlock for controlling the motors is available.

With the help of an App running on an iOS (Apple) or Android mobile phone with an Internet connection, you can control the switch remotely and set a timed switch on/off. The possibility of remote access via the app can be shared with others. A perfect solution for the smart control of household electrical devices, which do not need to work constantly, but must be switched on/off intermittently (e.g. aquarium circulator or aerator). With its use, you can comfortably turn on the desired devices from afar before you get home, and you can also conveniently schedule the switch-off to save energy and costs.

The four channels can also be switched to the so-called interlock mode, in which when one circuit is switched on, the other 3 circuits are switched off by the relay, so it can also be used to control 230V AC rotary motors in this mode!

The Sonoff 4CH version is only suitable for connecting the 230V used for the operation of the relay to the controlled circuit of the 4.

Like its predecessor, the Sonoff 4CH R3 can also be mounted on a standard DIN rail in an electrical cabinet.

Differences between 4CH R3 and 4CH Pro R3 relays:

- For the operation of the 4CH R3 relay, only a 230V AC supply can be provided, the 4CH PRO R3 can also operate from 9V-23V DC
- The 4CH R3 relay is a single-phase 230V AC relay, and the 4CH PRO R3 has four independent NO/NC relays, each of which can switch AC / DC / voltage-free circuits as desired.
- The 4CH R3 relay is only equipped with a WiFi chip, in addition to WiFi, the 4CH PRO R3 also has a 433MHz RF receiver, thanks to which it can be controlled remotely from an RF remote control and wireless RF wall switches.
