The Sonoff RF Bridge 433, as its name shows a bridge or gateway between radio-frequency (RF) devices and WiFi smart control based on the Ewelink platform. And R2 is the new version released in the fall of 2021.

Functions and methods of use:

(1) from RF to WiFi (receiving RF control):
The 433.92 MHz RF transceiver built into the Sonoff RF Bridge device is able to buy a button pressure on the radio remote controls and transmit the off/power command via WiFi (otherwise non-RF remote control) Ewelink smart devices.

Not only RF remote controls, but also 433.92 MHz RF sensors, such as the Sonoff Pir2 motion sensor and the radio Smartwise DW2 and DW3 Doors and Window Opening Sensor, can be paired with Sonoff RF Bridge, Turn (or down) other Ewelink devices (eg Sonoff T1 EU or a Sonoff Relay) if you detect a movement or open a door/window.

Sonoff Bridge, with the latest basic software version (firmware), can handle a total signal of 16 (formerly 4) RF control tools (ie RF remote control button, movement or opening sensor inbound).

RF / radio remote controls are likely to be compatible with remote controls, as they use typically coded communication (eg dooya) so they are not typically suitable for controlling the radio shutters of other manufacturers!

Similarly, with non -compatible jump -coded remote controls for garage door motors and garden opening engines.

If there is a alarm set on the phone, only the Ewelink owner of the Sonoff RF Bridge device receives it, the alarm will not go to any other EWELINK shared account and other phone when sharing your device.

(2) From WiFi to RF (Send RF Control):
It also supports RF Bridge: it can send control via RF to compatible RF devices based on the instructions in the Ewelink App.

You can also control the control of RF (but without WiFi) RF (but 433.92MHz) (but below listed type RF chip) to the EWELINK application: for example, RF electric switches, RF consolations, RF glow slots, RF door openers We can solve the switching through WiFi this way. That is, if you connect an electric switch that supports RF but without WiFi to the Sonoff Bridge, you will be able to turn it on the Internet from the Ewelink Smartphone App.

It can also be solved by simulating the Sonoff 4-button remote control button presses from the Ewelink App-either on the Internet, or locally if your RF remote control is just at hand-and control (even other brand, non-Sonoff) RF smart devices from the Ewelink App. To do this, all of the RF remote control buttons are paired with the Sonoff Bridge, the Brigde detects and notes (copies) the RF remote control control signal to each paired button, and when controlled from the App, the RF transmitter sends the same signal to the controller. The schematic diagram of this lineup is shown below:

In the case of RF control, the Sonoff can handle a total of 16 (formerly 4) devices x 4 (formerly 4) (formerly 16) (formerly 16) DB RFs. (Ie, when you go out RF control, you can handle a total of 16 pieces from a Sonoff 4-button remote control: 16 remote control x 4 button = 64 control management).

Notes:

The RF receiver has a fixed code compatible with 433.92 MHz: eg PT2260, PT2262, PT2264, EV1527, etc.
The product does not support dynamic and jump code RF solutions, only fixed code remote controls and other RF devices.
The smartphone app shows no status switching from the RF device.
Sonoff RF Bridge is a standard 5V Microusb wired (used for most smartphones), which is not part of the product!
RF / radio remote control shutters (KDolt, eg Dochoya encoding) remote controls and jump codes (eg garage cap / garden gate remote controls) are not compatible, so it is not suitable for controlling the radio shutters of other manufacturers!
