The Sonoff M5-3C-86 is a member of the Sonoff M5 physical push button smart switch family. Smart light switch supporting Wi-Fi and eWeLink-Remote Hub (Bluetooth) protocol. Like other Sonoff products, it is connected to the eWeLink smart home system and can be controlled from the eWeLink smartphone app. The smart light switch must be paired with the local Wi-Fi router, and it can be controlled, timed, and set remotely from a mobile phone via the Internet.
In the range of smart fittings, this product family is suitable for those who do not want to use wall-mounted fittings for switching, but are looking for smart fittings with a clean design. The product line is also available in white and anthracite, so it fits perfectly into most interiors.

The M5 product family has assemblies marked type 80 and 86.
This fitting is a three-circuit version of type 86, which means that you can connect three separate light sources or electrical consumers with it, and the smart fitting is 86mm wide, so it is not compatible with the classic 72mm serial fitting boxes if you want the fittings next to each other to be placed, then an 86 mm rowing distance must be used.

If you need to fit the existing classic 72mm lined boxes, you should consider the 80 types of the M5 assembly family, for which an additional frame is also available.
A 1-2-3 circuit design is also available from these.
The state of each circuit (off or on) is also indicated by the LED light on the LED strip used for the mood light, the color and brightness of which can be adjusted separately for the off and on states.
Similar to other Sonoff smart light switches, thanks to its built-in WiFi chip, you can use the eWeLink app running on an iOS (Apple) or Android mobile phone with an Internet connection to remotely control the on/off of the light switch, view the current OFF/ON status, and set a timed off/on also switched on. With the help of the physical wall push button, you can of course switch the lamp on the wall, just as you would with a traditional switch.
The possibility of remote access can also be shared with family members. The perfect solution for smart control of any lamp and lighting. With its use, you can comfortably turn on or off the desired lights from a distance, even when you are not at home. Used as a break-in prevention solution, it can be programmed to turn on or off so that the outside world thinks you are at home.

Like other new Sonoff products, it is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and Bluetooth gateway function, so it can be remotely controlled from Sonoff Bluetooth wireless devices (e.g. Sonoff S-MATE 2 module, Sonoff R5 switches).

The pulse switching, which can also be set with Sonoff M5 switches, means that the device should switch off automatically after a predetermined time after switching on, i.e. it is also suitable for "staircase timed switching".
The Wi-Fi status LED can also be turned off in the Sonoff M5 switches, so it can even be used in the bedroom (light-free operation when switched off) and its brightness can already be adjusted with this product family.
