The SNZB-05P is the Sonoff Zigbee pipe break and water leak detection sensor, a very small smart home sensor using the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, which sends a signal to control other devices via a Zigbee gateway. Its very small size allows it to be placed discreetly on the floor in boilers, boilers, radiators, washing machines and dishwashers, and other places exposed to broken pipes and water leaks. The sensor detects even 0.5 mm of water, and thanks to its design, it can even be used on metal surfaces (without false alarms).

Water damage often goes unnoticed until it is too late. SONOFF SNZB-05P water leak detector detects leaks in real time and sends instant notifications via eWeLink app. Even in the event of a Wi-Fi network failure, local Zigbee scenes can activate the sound alarm of capable Zigbee gateways (e.g. Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Ultra). It also supports e-mail notifications (with eWeLink Advanced subscription package) and SMS notifications (with eWeLink Advanced subscription package and IFTTT setting). Multiple notification methods allow for quick response, preventing costly damage and mold growth. In addition, the sensor sends an alarm every ten minutes in the event of a water leak, ensuring that you do not miss a single notification due to network fluctuations, thus guaranteeing property safety.

By communicating via an eWeLink Zigbee gateway, for example a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro, it transmits the data to the eWeLink cloud and we can control other Sonoff or SmartWise WiFi and eWeLink devices based on its data.

It can be paired with SONOFF NSPanel Pro, SONOFF iHost, SONOFF ZB Bridge / ZB Bridge-P / ZB Bridge-U, eWeLink platform Zigbee gateway, and thanks to the Zigbee 3.0 standard, also with other Zigbee gateways, e.g. with SmartThings hub v3. It can be easily added to Home Assistant's home automation system using ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT (requires a Zigbee adapter, such as SONOFF ZBDongle-P/ZBDongle-E).
