SONOFF SNZB-03P Zigbee cable without motion sensor

The SNZB-03P is the Sonoff Zigbee motion sensor, which comes with a longer battery life of up to 3 years and a renewed design compared to its predecessor. Packaged together with the sensor, we can also find the magnetic wall bracket, which is also new compared to its predecessor, as it had to be purchased as a separate product before. The SNZB-03P is a very small smart home motion sensor using the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, which sends a signal to control other devices via a Zigbee gateway. Its very small size allows it to be installed discreetly either on the wall or on the ceiling.

For example, by communicating via a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro, iHost or NS Panel Pro, it transmits data to the eWeLink cloud and we can control other Sonoff or SmartWise WiFi and eWeLink devices based on its data.
Another novelty is that if paired with a Sonoff gateway, the test period of the motion detector can also be set. So we can set the delay to return to sleep from 5 to 60 seconds.
This gives us the opportunity to set a very fast response or a longer delay according to our automation goals.

WHAT is Zigbee?
Most Sonoff products use Wi-Fi and RF as communication methods, which enable products with better overlap compared to other smart home technologies, but are not specifically IoT standards.

On the other hand, Zigbee is an ideal communication solution specifically for devices with low energy requirements, where there is not a large amount of data transfer, but the smallest possible time delay is important. Zigbee is a good choice for battery-operated sensors or remote controls, for example, where compared to WiFi, thanks to Zigbee, multiple operating times are typical. The Zigbee sensors cannot be used by themselves, they require a Zigbee gateway, which can be used to connect them to our home / office network. An example is the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro.
