The SONOFF MINI-ZB2GS-E Orb-ZBW2 (MINI DUO) is an ultra-compact, double-channel Zigbee 3.0 smart switch module, with which you can replace your existing wall switch and add smart functions. The module fits into a standard junction box and can control two independent lighting circuits. Total max. It offers a load capacity of 16 A (max. 10 A per channel, resistive load), with timings, scenes and group control.
The built-in Zigbee signal amplifier/repeater function improves the stability of the network, and thanks to the external wall switch inputs, the usual manual control is also maintained. It is compatible with popular platforms (e.g. Home Assistant - ZHA/Zigbee2MQTT -, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings), so it can be integrated into a unified smart home.
It is an ideal choice for renovation and retrofitting, when you want to control two separate circuits discreetly with the module placed in the wall - quick installation and reliable Zigbee connection.
Main product features
- Double channel, compact design: control of two independent circuits from a single module that can be recessed into the wall.
- Reliable Zigbee 3.0: fast pairing, stable network; built-in Zigbee repeater to improve network quality.
- External switch support: also works with rocker and push-button wall switches; the switch type can be changed with the button of the module.
- Timing and scenes: schedules, group control, smart scenes for convenient automation.
- Power-On State: behavior after a power failure can be set (ON/OFF/last state).
Smart home protocols and platform compatibility
- Protocol: Zigbee 3.0 (IEEE 802.15.4).
- Compatible gateways/platforms: SONOFF ZBBridge-P/-U, NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZBDongle-P/-E; also works with Home Assistant ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT integration.
- Voice control and ecosystems: Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings (depending on the hub).
- Local automation: scenes and rules in a Zigbee hub; the module's LED and button help with pairing and status indication.
Smart functions
- Remote ON/OFF and status query: control and feedback from app/hub.
- Schedules and timers: time-based switching adapted to daily routines.
- Scenes and groups: coordinated control of several devices (e.g. room level switches).
- External switching modes: push button/rocker selection; can be changed quickly by pressing the button three times.
- More advanced settings (Zigbee2MQTT): available, among others, detach relay mode, external trigger mode, pulse switching (firmware/hub dependent).
