The Sonoff M5-2C-80W is a member of the Sonoff M5 SwitchMan physical push button smart switch family. Sonoff M5 is a smart light switch that supports Wi-Fi and eWeLink-Remote Hub (Bluetooth) protocol. Like other Sonoff products, it is connected to the eWeLink smart home system and can be controlled from the eWeLink smartphone app. In this case, the smart light switch must be paired with the local Wi-Fi router (it does not need a local hub), and it can be controlled, timed, and set remotely from a mobile phone via the Internet.

The M5 Matter is the new version of the Sonoff SwitchMan switch family, which is also compatible with the Matter standard, so it is not only compatible with the eWeLink app, but also - when used with the Matter hub - SmartThing and Apple HomeKit.

It is an ideal solution for those who do not want to use touch-sensitive devices, but are looking for Wi-Fi smart devices with a clean design.

The product line is also available in white and anthracite, so it fits perfectly into most interiors.

The M5 product family also has assemblies marked type 80 and 86.

This fitting is a type 80 two-circuit version, which means that two separate light sources or electrical consumers can be connected to it, and the smart fitting is 80mm wide, so they are compatible with classic serial junction boxes. Therefore, the assemblies can be easily installed next to each other even with the usual row distance, in contrast to the 86 mm versions. An additional advantage of this type is that it is compatible with the frame of the Sonoff additional assembly, which can also be purchased separately in a 2-3-4 assembly-place design.

The state of each circuit (off or on) is also indicated by the LED light on the LED strip used for the mood light, the color and brightness of which can be adjusted separately for the off and on states.

Similar to other Sonoff smart light switches, thanks to its built-in WiFi chip, you can use the eWeLink app running on an iOS (Apple) or Android mobile phone with an Internet connection to remotely control the on/off of the light switch, view the current OFF/ON status, and set a timed off/on also switched on. With the help of the physical wall push button, you can of course switch the lamp on the wall, just as you would with a traditional switch.

The possibility of remote access can also be shared with family members. The perfect solution for smart control of any lamp and lighting. With its use, you can comfortably turn on or off the desired lights from a distance, even when you are not at home. Used as a break-in prevention solution, it can be programmed to turn on or off so that the outside world thinks you are at home.

Like other new Sonoff products, it is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and Bluetooth gateway function, so it can be remotely controlled from Sonoff Bluetooth wireless devices (e.g. Sonoff S-MATE 2 module, Sonoff R5 switches).

The pulse switching, which can also be set with Sonoff M5 switches, means that the device should switch off automatically after a predetermined time after switching on, i.e. it is also suitable for "staircase timed switching".
The Wi-Fi status LED can also be turned off in the Sonoff M5 switches, so it can even be used in the bedroom (light-free operation when switched off) and its brightness can already be adjusted with this product family.
