Sonoff Basic R4 is a smart switch relay, an entry-level member of Sonoff's Internet-controlled and timed switch family. Compatible with eWeLink Remote Hub type remote controls (Sonoff S-MATE, S-MATE2, R5).

This is a switching relay module equipped with a WiFi+Bluetooth module, which, when connected to a 230V AC supply, can be used to close and interrupt the circuit, i.e. to turn on/off the electrical device connected to the wire. With the help of an App running on an iOS (Apple) or Android mobile phone with an Internet connection, we can remotely control the switch and set a timed on/off.

Of course, there is also a physical push button switch on the relay. The possibility of remote access via the mobile app can also be shared with family members. A perfect solution for the smart control of household electrical devices, which do not need to work constantly, but must be switched on/off intermittently (e.g. aquarium circulator or aerator). With its use, you can comfortably turn on the desired devices from afar before you get home, and you can also conveniently schedule the switch-off to save energy and costs.

The Sonoff Basic R4 does not have an external thermometer/humidity sensor input, a wired sensor cannot be connected to it.
