Power Delivery (PD) technology developed with the USB Type C standard. The PD standard is based on two-way communication, the charger and the device to be charged jointly determine the best charging method. After connecting the device, the charger delivers a basic voltage of 5V, which can then dynamically increase up to 20V according to needs. The device to be charged practically "asks" the charger what is the maximum power it can deliver, and in return the charger receives information about the maximum power the connected device can absorb. The current charging parameters are set based on these two data, so the connected device is charged as quickly as possible.
