Shelly's new product for 2022 is the Shelly switch family, with switchable 1, 2 and 4 button switch assemblies and matching 1, 2 and 3 switch switch frames. The product line is also available in elegant white and black.

The exterior of the switch covers a specially designed Shelly product, since it is not a complete switch assembly, but a front panel equipped with a microswitch and a matching frame, into the back of which the Shelly WiFi smart relays can be snapped into the appropriate relay holder adapter and conveniently connected to the switch with front panel wires. It therefore forms a full-fledged smart light switch together with a Shelly smart relay.

The light switch push button assembly and the serial frame are two separate products. (The Shelly smart relay is not part of the product, it can be ordered separately.)

The light switch system is also compatible with Shelly 1, Shelly 1PM, Shelly 2.5, Shelly Plus 1, Shelly Plus 1PM, Shelly Plus 2PM, Shelly Plus i4 Shelly smart devices. Relay mounting adapters (all compatible types) are included with the switch assembly.

It can be switched in the same way as conventional switches

Shelly wall switches work like normal manual wall switches, just like traditional switches, but they can be controlled via the relay's Wi-Fi connection through your home automation system and from a smartphone app.

Easier wiring and connection

With the Shelly light switch system, the wiring and connection of the Shelly smart relay becomes significantly easier, since the relay can be snapped into the factory adapter for the switch with one movement, and the switch and the relay can be conveniently connected together, even outside the wall. With the wall socket, only the incoming and outgoing wires need to be connected in the same simple way as with a traditional switch.

Thanks to its compact size and simple wiring system, switches compatible with Shelly relays can be easily installed in any wall socket. The particularly thin design of the microswitch light switch assembly no longer takes up extra space in the wall socket, so the Shelly relay simply fits in together with the wiring.
If there is not enough space in the wall socket or because of a thin partition, the socket cannot be deepened so that a Shelly smart relay can fit behind a conventional switch, then the Shelly switch solution is an obvious solution for creating a smart switch. The Shelly switch assembly and relay together do not take up more space in the socket than a traditional wall switch assembly, so it fits into even the smallest socket.
