Product description
The Shelly Wave 2PM smart relay module is a smart device with a consumption meter that can be installed in an assembly box, can control two 230V AC circuits.
The Shelly Qubino Wave product line uses the Z-Wave protocol for communication, so you will definitely need a Z-Wave Hub or USB coordinator to use the relay module.
The module can be powered by both direct current and alternating current voltages. It is also equipped with protection against overheating and overload, so it guarantees safe operation even in a small space installed in wall sockets.
The Shelly Wave 2PM 230V AC powered smart relay module with consumption meter is a member of the Shelly Wave product family, which uses the Z-Wave protocol for communication (868.42 MHz in Europe). Since Z-Wave is a smart home protocol, it was specially developed for communication between smart devices. Thanks to the sub-gigahertz frequency, signal propagation is adequate, and thanks to the Z-Wave MESH network topology, devices further away from the central unit can also communicate properly (devices under continuous power supply act as signal transmitters). Z-Wave devices definitely need a Z-Wave Hub or USB coordinator (which is connected to a miniPC, for example) to work. The Z-Wave protocol uses standardized communication command classes (Command Class), so even hundreds of thousands of products from different brands are compatible with each other, devices of a Z-Wave system can work together forming a network. A Z-Wave network max. It can contain 232 devices. Another advantage of the Z-Wave protocol is that it also supports association groups (Association Groups), thanks to which we can create direct associations between the individual units that make up the network. Another advantage of Z-Wave devices is that many parameters can be set on them at the protocol level, so they can be customized to meet even the most sophisticated needs.
The Shelly Wave 2PM smart relay module can be powered from direct current 24V-30V DC or 230V AC alternating current voltages, and on its output terminals it switches the voltage used for powering up. The manufacturer provided the module with protection against overheating and overload, so it guarantees safe operation even in a small space installed in wall sockets.
The module is also capable of controlling 2 circuits, 2 x 10A, a total of max. With an output capacity of 16A. It is capable of measuring consumption on both circuits.
Pairing:
- The module has an "S" button, which is a function button.
- During pairing, removal or factory reset, we can start the processes with this button. These functions are available for a limited time after powering up.
Pair/Uninstall/Factory Reset:
- Press and hold the "S" button to pair until the status LED turns blue.
- Then directly pressing the "S" button again (for at least 2 seconds) starts the pairing/removal state.
