The special feature of the device is that it is the first in the segment to offer an SSI-based light comparison option. With the help of SSI (Spectral Similarity Index), we can compare the results of recent measurements to the color characteristics of a measured or pre-stored light, and in addition to SSI, we can also use several color measurement systems used in the industry. Thus, it is possible to perform independent or comparative measurements in CRI, TLCI/TLMF and TM-30-15 systems.

The key element of the device, the built-in sensor with a resolution of 1 nm, detects even the smallest spikes in the spectra of fluorescent or LED light sources in the range between 380 and 780 nm, and measures color temperatures between 1,600 and 40,000 K. We can choose countless ways to display and evaluate the measurement results, we can even request the result of the color filter calculation directly, for example in Rosco, LEE, Kodak or Fuji filter values. In addition, we can request the result in Kelvin, lux, LB/CC values, duv, CRI, SSI, TLCI, CIE1931 or hue/saturation values, depending on the technique or tool used during the work process.

The device can store the results of 99 measurements in its memory, but any number of measurements can be transferred to the computer via a USB connection.
