New Seasonic OptiSink design
The overall quality and reliability of the FOCUS v4 series has been significantly improved by the introduction of a brand new PCB layout and automated surface mount technology during manufacturing, which minimizes human manufacturing errors. By combining a redesigned PCB board, smaller MOSFET and heatsink components, the internal space of the power supply has been increased to improve heat dissipation and airflow, resulting in better component cooling.

High performance fluid bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the shock absorbing effect of oil. Lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration, and thus the total energy consumption. Thanks to the easy, quieter rotation and robust construction, this reliable fan technology significantly increases the life of the fan.

New design feature
Seasonic engineers have introduced a new design feature where instead of cables; the back panel and the PCB (printed circuit board) are connected by a copper plate.
