The primary purpose of the Rusan MAR adapter inserts is to provide the possibility of a quick and stable exchange, if the hunter wants to use a thermal camera or night vision adapter on several scopes of different diameters without compromise during a hunt.

It would be time-consuming to guide the device along the long, fine course, and adjusting the angle of the display to the reticle is also laborious out in the field. In order to prevent this, Rusan developed a two-piece bayonet lockable set between the front end and scope adapter(s), one side of which is the fancifully named "MAR" part with bayonet holes, which all Rusan or Smartclip adapters M52 it can be fixed in its internal thread, while a product-specific bayonet pin side on the front end is required for this, which can be fixed on the scope side thread of the front end.

Fixing the two parts between the adapter and the original riflescope adapter/adapters, the digital device can be safely removed and mounted with just a quarter of a turn, so that the digital device can immediately be used on another rifle scope. Since only the bayonet rotates, the adapter always remains in the correct position, so the accuracy of the repetition is increased to an extraordinary extent.
