Romy Hausmann - Drága child

This thriller begins where others usually end. A windowless cottage stands in the forest. Lena and her two children have a strictly regulated life, it is prescribed to the minute when they can eat, study or go to the toilet. They only get oxygen with the help of a machine that provides air circulation. The father provides the family with food, protects them from the dangers of the outside world, and makes sure that the children do not grow up without a mother. But one day they manage to escape - only then does the real nightmare begin. Because there are many signs that the kidnapper wants to get back what is his. In this emotionally shocking and at the same time deeply disturbing thriller, Romy Hausmann voices the full range of horror beyond all imagination. The Dear Child swept Germany like a storm, at the top of the bestseller lists for more than 6 months, its success is shown not only by the crazy sales data, but also by the fact that both readers and critics are in favor of it, and the film rights have already been sold. This novel will change everything you knew or thought about thrillers.
