The Røde SM6 is a vibration-controlling microphone trap that can be fixed to a 3/8 "and 5/8" stand with the enclosed thread converter. The inner part is linked to the external frame with silicone gum suspension, providing effective vibration damping.

The microphone trap has a popfilter with a thin, acoustic permeable fabric membrane. The height of the popfilter (which is designed to hold the air from the mouth or to the air during speech, especially when the t, d, b, p sounds are pronounced), can be adjusted and is tilted with its telescopic neck. The SM6 can be tilted with popfilter, making it even more flexible to positioning.

The microphone trap is compatible with most of the big membrane Røde studio microphone.
