Product description
The RØDE NTG4 is the latest development of the manufacturer's short shotgun microphone, which builds on the foundations established by its award-winning predecessors, while carrying many new features. A sensitive and high sound quality microphone that can be used for sound, broadcast and film purposes, mounted on a camera, on a tripod or on a microphone pole.
The digital switches on the microphone body can be used to switch between 75Hz low cut, high boost and -10dB attenuation, the switched-on functions are indicated by an LED. The ability to change the characteristics of the microphone makes the microphone suitable for field work and use in stage conditions. When turned off, the microphone "remembers" the settings, and when turned on, the last state is always reactivated.
The predecessors in the category, the NTG1 and NTG2, were already award-winning microphones, but the NTG4 performs even better than them. Its completely newly developed capsule and electronics produce even less self-noise in addition to greater sensitivity, and its sound has become fuller and more characterful.
The NTG4 is a condenser microphone, so it needs phantom power for operation (12-24-48V). If the device connected to the microphone cannot provide phantom power, the solution is the NTG4+ microphone, which provides the necessary voltage for itself with its built-in Li-ion battery.
