Product description
The RØDE NTG2 is a directional condenser shotgun microphone. The microphone has a symmetrical output and works with 48V phantom power or a 1.5V AA battery that can be inserted into the microphone. Its wide frequency range and supercardioid characteristics, combined with low-noise circuits, ensure excellent sound quality in all situations. In addition, the NTG2 is a fairly light microphone, so it can be conveniently used mounted on cameras or held on a microphone pole. Universal usability is also thanks to the low-cut filter on the microphone. By unscrewing the bottom of the microphone, the compartment holding the battery becomes free, where the need for phantom power can be triggered by inserting a 1.5V AA battery or battery. This makes the NTG2 especially suitable for work in the field with minimal technical equipment.
It comes with a microphone bracket, a wind-blocking sponge and a leatherette carrying bag as accessories. The sponge significantly reduces wind noise for outdoor shots if the conditions are not too extreme. If more damping is needed, the accessories also include more efficient wind deflectors: Deadcat, WS6.
RØDE's accessories for the microphone also include anti-vibration microphone holders with hot shoe or 3/8"-5/8" microphone stand thread (SM3R, SM4R), zeppelin microphone holder, microphone poles, hand microphone grips, table stands.
