The microphone's premium-quality 1/2" capsule is supported by electronics designed with strict engineering precision and built from quality materials. The cardioid capsule is replaceable, and the microphone can also be used with an optional spherical capsule (NT45-O). The electronics and the capsule are identical. housed in a delightful, massive, silky-shine metal housing.
