Product description
The RØDE NT2000 is a large-diaphragm condenser studio microphone whose directional characteristics, filter and attenuation can be changed with rotary knobs instead of the traditional multi-position switch solution. Continuously changeable characteristics provide the opportunity to precisely tune the microphone to a given acoustic environment. The large dials are located on the body of the microphone for convenience.
The NT2000's state-of-the-art circuits produce exceptionally low self-noise of only 7dBA, the Australian-designed and manufactured gold-plated HF2 double-membrane capsule can withstand a maximum sound pressure of 147 dBSPL (157 dBSPL with full attenuation) without distortion. Thanks to the latter, the microphone is especially suitable for recording and voicing wind and percussion instruments, or even an electric guitar (placed in front of an amplifier) under suitable conditions. Its joystick is spherical-cardioid-octave, its low-cut filter is 20 > 150Hz, and its attenuation can be continuously adjusted between 0 > -10 dB, thus ensuring uncompromising results and variability in any application situation.
