Product description
The RØDE NT2-A is a large-diaphragm condenser studio microphone whose directional characteristics, filter and attenuation can be changed with multi-position switches. Its directional characteristic is spherical-cardioid-eight, its low-cut filter is 0/80/40Hz, and its attenuation can be changed between 0/-5/-10dB, thus ensuring uncompromising results and variability in different application situations. The HF1 gold-plated membrane capsule can withstand a particularly high maximum sound pressure of 147 dBSPL without distortion, which makes the microphone suitable for recording and voicing wind and percussion instruments, or even an electric guitar (placed in front of an amplifier) under suitable conditions.
The microphone's frequency response and transient response have been tuned in such a way that it can fully cooperate with modern recording techniques, yet its sound evokes the velvety smooth character typical of the microphones of the 50s and 60s. These features make the NT2-A one of the most versatile and versatile studio microphones available today.
The value of the NT2-A is further enhanced by the fact that RØDE ships the microphone in a box with the SM6 anti-vibration microphone holder with removable pop filter, 6m XLR cable and fabric dust bags.
