Robert Muchamore - Az újonc (2021)
Product description
CHERUB agents are blood pros - and they're all kids. On deployments, they spy on terrorists and gather classified information. They do incredibly dangerous work, but they have one huge advantage: adults would never think that children could be spies.
James is a real troublemaker, but also incredibly talented. And CHERUB needs just such members. Therefore, the boy, having no other choice, becomes an agent. However, before being sent on deployment, he must survive a hundred days of basic training, something not even the toughest recruits can do...
The II. During World War II, French civilians organized a resistance movement to fight the German forces. Among their most capable agents were many children and young people. British spy Charles Henderson worked among them for nearly three years. After returning to Britain, he trained twenty British boys to carry out covert operations. He gave the unit the code name CHERUB. After a few decades, the organization had more than two hundred and fifty agents - seventeen years old or younger - in its ranks. However, one thing never changed: the unit was created and survived because the adults never, anywhere, thought that children could be spies.
