Apollo, the once celebrated god, is various
due to reasons he was reduced to a pitiable mortal.

Now, with his half-breed friends, he travels across North America to fulfill his mission and worm his way back into Zeus' good graces.

Zeus punished his son by casting him to the earth in the form of a clumsy, acne-prone, mortal teenager named Lester. The only way he can return to his Olympian throne is to revive the oracles that have fallen into darkness.

After many dangerous - and, to say the least, humiliating - trials in Camp Half-Blood, Apollo now sets out on a hair-raising mission. He and his companions are tasked with finding the most dangerous oracle of antiquity, a haunted cave, where Apollo can learn how to turn back into a god - if he manages to avoid death or madness.

The team is hampered in its mission by the second member of the evil Triumvirate, a Roman emperor, whose bloodlust and bigotry dwarfs even Nero.

Apollo can only survive the adventure if he unites his strength with unexpectedly appearing allies who rush to his aid from the world of the demigods.
