Product description
I was once a god...
Until my father, Zeus, banished me and made me a mortal cub
didn't change. Now I'm living in the image of a badass teenager, Lester,
in the captivity of a dangerous and complicated demigod, Meg.
Thanks fater!
Zeus turned his son Apollo into a mortal teenager and afflicted him with pimples, ringworm, and the unfortunate ringing name of Lester Papadopoulos. Deprived of his divine powers, Lester, meanwhile enslaved by a twelve-year-old Chitri named Meg, was given the task of liberating five ancient oracles from the evil Roman trio of emperors.
So far he has managed to save two oracles, and the prophecies now speak of "dark mazes", "the land of scorching death" and "the master of the swift white horse". Together with Meg, they have to cross the Labyrinth to avoid the fires of hell and find the third emperor: an evil tyrant whom Apollo does not like to see. Is their hoofed escort, Grover Underwood, up to the task? And them?
Apollo has to keep his cool despite the terrifying adventure, but by the time you read these lines, he might have already burned to the ground.
"This is Riordan, that is, the exciting and dramatic story is spiced up with good jokes and funny scenes. [...] The author's fans can be happy, because familiar faces also appear in this part full of mysteries, and because of the unsewn threads, they will only be more excited to wait for the continuation." - Booklist
