Richard Morgan - A holtak the words

Only a select few can consider themselves Gil's friends. One of them, Sárkányvész Egar, is a ruthless Mayan warrior who respects him as his brother. And the other is Archeth, the last remaining daughter of the mysterious Kiriath people, who once saved the world from the dark magic of the Aldrains with the help of their advanced technology, and then left as mysteriously as they arrived. But Egar and Archeth learned to fear the doom that followed their friend like a gloomy shadow, like the curse of an angry god.
Now, one of the mysterious intelligent structures of the kiriath has fallen off its interplanetary orbit, with the message that a new or rather ancient danger is lurking for humanity, in the person of Fattyú Ilwrack, who was raised as a man in the ghostly region of the gray places, in the homeland of the Aldrains. Even though she is human, they treated her as one of their own and according to some, she became the lover of one of their legendary warriors, until she was finally defeated in the distant past lost in the mists of legend. Now you are asleep in a magical dream on an island that drifts between the human world and the gray places. After his awakening, the people of the Aldrains will flock to him to return in full force, and this time humanity can no longer count on the help of the Kiriaths.
An expedition is launched to find the island of Ilwrack the Fatty at the end of a long and dangerous voyage. Gil, Egar and Archeth are all involved: each wants to leave behind his dark past and find redemption for the future. But redemption is not cheap entertainment. Neither does survival. Be it Ringil Eskiath or a god or mortal who wants to use him as a puppet.
