Product description
Richard Chizmar (1965) is a multi-award-winning American writer, journalist, editor, founder of Cemetery Dance magazine and publisher. His works have won two World Fantasy and four International Horror Guild awards. His book of short stories entitled A Long December received favorable reviews from Kirkus and Booklist, Chizmar appeared at several conferences as a creative writing instructor, guest speaker, expert and guest of honor. At home, he is known primarily for the novels Gwendy and the Magic Box, written together with Stephen King, and A Rémkály nyomám, which mixes autobiographical elements with the genres of thriller, horror and true crime.
In this volume, Richard Chizmar returns to the world of Gwendy and the Magic Box for a breathtaking sequel in which we meet Gwendy Peterson as an adult. Thirty-seven-year-old Gwendy lives in a loving marriage, has become a highly successful author, and is shaping her country as a congresswoman in Washington, DC. One day, however, the magic box of the mysterious black-hatted Richard Farris unexpectedly reappears in his office. The reappearance of the box brings Gwendy back home to the small town of Castle Rock, where Sheriff Norris Ridgewick and his team are desperately searching for two missing girls. As Gwendy and the police race against time, she must consider whether fate or our choices control our lives, and the price we pay for those choices when we reach for the things we want most. In Gwendy and the Magic Feather, the sleepy little town of Castle Rock is built on a bedrock of deep, dark secrets, and is about to reawaken from its quiet slumber.
