R. M. Romero - Karolina and a krakkói babakészítő

Karolina lived in the Land of Dolls, where dolls and rats were at war. The situation became increasingly hopeless, and Karolina hoped to find a solution in the land of men.
And one day a strange good wind takes him away from Dollland... He finds himself in Kraków, in German-occupied Poland, in the company of the Dollmaker, in 1939.
The toy manufacturer is a man with a painful past, extraordinary and magical. He has been living alone for a long time, but in the brave and loving company of Karolina, he is sometimes able to smile again. In the meantime, the days pass, and the Dollmaker takes Karolina with him everywhere. But when the gathering of Jews begins, the man and Karolina cannot remain idle.
But what can a toy maker with magical powers and a doll do? Will Karolina ever get back to the Land of the Dolls?
