Psychology is both a popular science of our time and a profession that shapes our everyday lives. Every year, dozens of new books in this country also present one chapter of the science of psychology and offer help for self-management. The Psychology Handbook goes a little further than that, it tries to provide guidance in the cavalcade of modern psychology that uses many concepts, approaches and methods.
Understanding and cultivating psychology requires the cooperation of many disciplines and professions. We interpret the spiritual world of man in the natural and biological framework of man. At the same time, we assume that paying attention to others, social construction and cultural formation, as well as cultural sensitivity are part of human biological nature.
The handbook presents the various fields of psychology in a new way of looking at and arranging them. Our volume is organized around four aspects, or if you like, four approaches: society, neurobiological aspects, development and evolution. At the same time, we also try to handle the topics themselves innovatively. The theme structure is not conventional, but starts from the unified natural scientific, cultural and social treatment of psychology.
However, in the linear order of the volume, the four common aspects are given different weights. In the first chapters, the focus is on the biology of the soul, then on the knowing person, the factors that move people, social formations, the analysis of the relationship between culture and people - including success and failure, and the psychological dynamics of human politics - and finally on the psychology of human diversity.
Our book is aimed both at the interested general public, for whom it is a starting point for psychology, and at the more professional audience, psychologists, teachers, doctors, sociologists, for whom it aims to be a thought-provoking synthesis proposal.
