For several types of fur and skin

Philips Lumea Prestige works effectively, easily and safely on a variety of hair and skin types. Works on natural dark blonde, brown and black hair and skin tones from very white to dark brown. As with other IPL-based treatments, Philips Lumea cannot be used on white/grey, light blonde and red hair, and cannot be used on very dark skin tones. This is because there should be a high contrast between the color pigment of the hair and the skin.

Built-in skin tone sensor

For safe use, the built-in skin tone sensor assesses the color of the treated skin at the beginning of each treatment - and also during the treatment. If it detects a skin tone that is too dark to use the device, it will automatically stop emitting pulses.
