István Varjas, a young, independent boy from Pécs, had two passions in life: physics and cycling. In both, he stood out among his contemporaries, winning the competitions one after another. But when he started to train in an Italian team, seeing the doping of his peers, his world collapsed, and his idea of sport as a noble struggle faded away. His disillusionment turned to defiance, and from then on he worked to perfect his invention, the bicycle with a hidden motor. Years later, he sold the prototype through an intermediary for good money - taking control completely out of his hands.
