The Panasonic LUMIX S 100-500mm F5.0-7.1 OIS is a compact telephoto lens designed for professional photographers and videographers. With an L-Mount bayonet, it is well suited to sports and wildlife photography and is optimised for 8K video recording. The focal length adjusts continuously from 100 to 500 mm, and a teleconverter can extend it up to 1000 mm.
The optical image stabiliser (O.I.S.) delivers strong image quality even when shooting handheld. A dual linear motor provides smooth and quiet autofocus at up to 240 fps. The macro function works from 80 cm with a magnification of 0.16 to 0.36×. The zoom ring can be set to smooth or tight mode.
The optical design, with 19 elements in 12 groups, produces sharp images and good contrast. The lens is dust and splash resistant and can be used down to -10 °C. It features a programmable function button and an 82 mm filter size. Dimensions: 92 mm diameter, 196.1 mm length, weight 1285 g.
