Oliver Stone - Putyin tabuk without - A vágatlan interjúk

During the past decades, the famous American film director Oliver Stone was the only one in the Western world who had the opportunity to conduct several hours of in-depth interviews with the unquestionable powerful ruler of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The conversations, originally broadcast on the American Showtime channel, were made in exciting times: we were already over the occupation of Crimea and the Russian intervention in the Syrian civil war, but most of us probably never thought, even in our wildest dreams, that a conflict similar to the brutal Russian-Ukrainian war could break out in Europe.
In light of what happened in 2022, the words of the leader who revived Russia's imperial dreams about respect, sovereignty and Russia's international role take on a new, ominous meaning. Following Oliver Stone's wide-ranging questions, often politely debating with the interviewee, Putin discusses in detail such sensitive topics as the war in Chechnya, the Russian intervention in Syria, or the tense conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
From the uncut version of the interviews, we gain a unique insight into Vladimir Putin's mindset and perhaps better understand the background to the most serious war of the 21st century so far.
