Péczely Dóra - Tízig aludni - 25 contemporary and timeless short stories
Product description
What will become of you?" asks the title of István Örkény's short story, as it is repeated in life too, even though this question, taken really seriously, could also be the title of this volume. What is it like to grow up, to love, to see the world differently when it already sounds like that? the question is: what will become of me? How was this written a hundred years ago? And how now, in the 21st century? The anthology entitled Sleeping to Ten includes twenty-five stories that the authors wrote before they were thirty-five. Three contemporary and two "ageless" stories per cycle , a total of fifteen short stories by contemporary authors and ten already classic authors are interwoven in the selection. In the first three cycles, you can read short stories about male-female relationships, mothers, fathers and their children, and then in the fourth cycle, you can read short stories about the relationship between people and animals. The last one contains stories such as from which it becomes clear that "life is not fair". The short stories were selected by Dóra Péczely, the editor of the anthologies Szívlapá, Lehtennák győi and Szevasz. The cover and illustrations are the work of Juli Jásdi, whose drawings often show humor in addition to compassion and a cheerful outlook on life.
