The Apocalypse of Henoch is a B.C. II. A non-canonized writing created at the beginning of the 20th century, which has survived only in Greek and Ethiopian versions. It is directly related to the Bible, to what is written in the 6th part of the first book of Moses. The work reports that God's creatures, the Overseers, descend to earth, desire the daughters of men and bear children with them, and then teach the women secret knowledge. After that, sin and evil multiply, so the Lord decides to destroy life on earth with a flood. Hénok personally goes to God to speak on behalf of the fallen angels, but the Lord does not waive the punishment. With the help of his angels, he shows Hénok the afterlife, how they will be punished or exalted at the last judgment, and allows him to see the Son of Man. The judgment is fulfilled, after which only the blameless Noah is saved.
The work is translated and prefaced by Béla Hamvas into the hands of readers.
