Miklós Kozma's memoir The days of the collapse in 1918-1919, which was published recently and went through four editions in a short period of time, is about the XX. one of the most important memoirs of 19th century Hungarian history. In the later stages of his life, Miklós Kozma rose to the rank of the most prestigious personalities in Hungary. In the 1920s, he became the Minister of National Defense, then Minister of the Interior, and then again the head of the domestic media, and he also organized the entire Hungarian foreign news service.

In 1938, on the eve of the Second World War, Miklós Kozma continued writing his diary with the aim of serving as a source for historians of the later period. Through the eyes of a person, we can get a glimpse of the events of the unfolding global conflagration, for whom most of the information was concentrated in Hungary. As the head of MTI, the number one media platform at the time, Kozma was in direct contact with the Hungarian government, diplomacy, and those persons who exerted a decisive influence on foreign and domestic policy. Moreover, he also met the highest-ranking Nazi politicians during his several trips abroad during the World War.

Miklós Kozma had a prominent role in the reintegration of Subcarpathia. In the autumn of 1938, he participated in the management of armed sabotage operations, and in 1939 he became the governor's commissioner of Transcarpathia, which was recaptured by the Hungarian army. The background to all of this, the days of the Hungarian resurrection, roll down in front of us like a modern-day action movie. Miklós Kozma describes the events of that time in an impressive style, without covering up mistakes or omissions. It is no coincidence that the author's reminiscences can be considered one of the most significant Hungarian-related documents of the Second World War.
