With its help, a traditional wall plug can be turned into a smart outlet socket with just a few movements, making it a perfect solution for controlling household appliances and lights plugged into the outlet. With its use, you can comfortably turn on the desired devices from afar before you get home or you can conveniently schedule the On/Off with it.

Furthermore, we can monitor the power consumption of connected devices in order to save energy and costs. (The consumption meter function is not supported for gateways using the eWeLink application.)

The Zigbee smart socket can switch a current of up to 16 A, so it can be used to control consumers with a higher power (maximum 3680 W), such as an electric boiler, iron or electric heater.

In order for a Zigbee compatible smart socket to work, a supported Zigbee gateway, coordinator or hub is required, which connects the smart socket to the Zigbee network. After pairing with the Zigbee center, the outlet can be automated and controlled from anywhere in the world.

Similar to other Zigbee devices operating with 230V power supply, this one is also capable of fulfilling the Zigbee mesh function, so we can increase the coverage of the Zigbee network in our home so that devices in the far corners of the house can stably connect to the Zigbee center.

- Zigbee protocol: a device operating according to the Zigbee standard, it also works as a Zigbee mesh on the Zigbee network. A Zigbee gateway or hub is required for its operation and remote control.
- Zigbee hub/gateway compatibility: The device is compatible with most gateways that support the Zigbee protocol. According to the tests, it is not yet compatible with the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro. The consumption meter function is not supported for eWeLink gateways!
