The NORTHQ NQ-9021 is a Z-Wave electricity meter data collector that reads consumption data from both electromechanical and electronic electricity meters. A compact optical sensor captures the readings, so you can monitor your household's power use without modifying the meter itself.

According to the manufacturer, the device delivers accurate measurements even for consumption from 0.1 kWh upward. Its small size and external wireless transmitter make it easy to fit into any standard distribution cabinet. The sensor weighs just 250 g.

The sensor runs on batteries and sends measured data to the central controller every 15 minutes. If the network connection is interrupted, the device can store consumption data for up to three months until the link is restored.
