Product description
The Nokia 6310 and 6310i were considered one of the most sought-after pairs in the early 2000s, especially the latter, which Nokia was able to sell in significant quantities. These typically ended up with business users in their time, which unfortunately cannot be said about the Nokia 6310 disguised in a modern guise.
Recently, HMD Global has been sending quite decent push-button devices for deployment, and KaiOS with 4G LTE support has started to spread. However, those who hoped that the Nokia 6310 would also follow this line will be disappointed. This time we can talk about a very simple and therefore cheap mobile phone.
Carrying on the feature phone heritage, the device has a 2.8-inch display based on TFT LCD technology. The panel used has a QVGA resolution, so 320 x 240 pixels populate its surface. The software environment is based on Series 30+. It is a real workhorse, Nokia has been using it for various push-button devices since 2013, and it can perform its task with maximum stability. There won't be too many extras here, you can listen to music and play some pre-installed games.
The designers felt that there was a need for a camera in the framework of the Nokia 6310, but in any case, you shouldn't expect much from it. It can only produce VGA quality. The good news is that at least it has an LED flash next to it, although most people will probably use this for the flashlight function and not for shooting in the dark.
Although it is not of great importance, HMD Global revealed that the Nokia 6310 includes the UNISOC 6531F system chip, which is accompanied by 8 MB of system memory. Of course, this modest hardware will be perfectly sufficient alongside the S30+ system. The storage space of the mobile phone is 16 MB and can be expanded as needed. A memory card of up to 32 GB can be used in it, which would make sense if you would use the MP3 playback option.
Unfortunately, the machine will only support 2G mobile network connections on the 800 and 1900 MHz bands. The mobile phone supports FM radio, which probably has a built-in antenna, because it will also work with wireless headphones or earphones. And that's how we get to the other important connection option, the Bluetooth 5 module, which will be able to handle headphones. The Nokia 6310 is also dual-SIM, which may be important for many.
The device is only 56 millimeters wide, but relatively tall, rising to 135.5 millimeters, while it is 14.1 millimeters thick. A micro-USB connector was used here, which is sad even today, even if we are talking about a cheap push-button mobile phone. With one charge, the machine will be able to last a week without any problems, if it is not pushed too much. A battery with a capacity of 1150 milliampere hours was included, ensuring a talk time of 19.45 hours.
