Cable cutters are designed for cutting round cables (coaxial or symmetrical, up to 4 pairs) and flat loops, up to 30 mm wide. The serrated tips of the blades are very useful for tightening the IDC pins when removing the cable. The pliers are suitable for copper wires with a thickness of 1 mm (18AWG) and other soft metals. They are not suitable for cutting steel wires and other steel objects.
