It accepts two EN-EL15C batteries (compatible with both EN-EL15B and EN-EL15A), thus providing a longer operating time without interruption. The grip uses the batteries in order, so you can even replace one without turning off the camera. Thanks to the built-in USB-C port, the batteries can also be charged in the grip.
